First Jurassic World: Dominion Reviews Are Out (RT Score: 86%)

Full embargo ends June 7th but there’s already a few reviews out on RT hopefully the current score is a good sign but I’m not very hopeful

while i can be interested in RT scores situationally, i'm not interested in Peter Travers opinion about a dinosaur movie.
outside of the first one, the other four have all had major faults, but still let me watch dinosaurs terrorize people. if you just do that in a fashion that is above syfy channel special effects and acting, i'm totally happy to give them my money.

The first one wasn't without a few as well, but it was still good enough overall that no one cares.

It's a film franchise with literally one very good movie (Jurassic Park), one mediocre movie (Jurassic World), one bad movie (Lost World), and 2 really really bad movies (Jurassic Park 3 and Fallen Kingdom).
Excuse me if I don't have much confidence in this dead horse franchise.

I think it's gonna be sick. Hoping it's the best of the 3. The first 2 have been awesome imo.
Now the dinos are loose in our world? Yeah i fully believe they can make a good movie out of that.

Jurassic Park 3 is much better than Lost World.

Lost World is much better all JP3 is, is a chase movie with dinosaurs. TLW has arguably one of the best scenes in the series as well

JP3 has always seemed like a cheap, half finished movie to me.
Everything is shrouded in fog/mist. The scenes where they see the T-Rex the first time and when they run into the pterodactyl building are Z-grade movie making. Then it ends with the monumentally dumb deus ex machina.

It was a novelty that ran its course a long time ago along with insect amber pendants.
So the only question is why do people still have such high expectations for basically a Godzilla movie?
The idea, the Crichton story, its not making a comeback of interest.
They're just monster movies now if they were anything ever different despite the pseudo-science. But that 90's innocence still holds sway that the movie is bigger than just CGI. Its not.
The plot never matters but for the first one. Everything else is just an excuse to see Dinos running, which is fine. But don't be up in arms about a B-movie franchise.

I'm probably in the minority but I like dinosaur movies in nature, but I hate dinosaur movies in cities like the dinosaurs are terrorizing New York or LA.

Lost World has some great moments but not the best movie overall. JP3 seemed to know what it is, but I wish they went all in on being a B movie type film.
What I really would want to see is a more adult oriented prequel film about the origins of Ingen and Biosyn and the beginning of the original Jurassic Park. Would never happen though because kids would think it’s boring.
