season 2 was good. season 1 was going to be hard to top so im not surprised it wasnt as good. I think it did a good job for setting up a more action heavy season 3.
edit: also i have played W3 and read about 4 books into the series (currently going through blood of elves). you can definitely enjoy all three versions of the universe. i dont understand why people get hung up if every little detail isnt the same from one to the other.

I read somewhere She used a body double for the nude scene and then said duck it I’ll do my own nude scenes in the later episodes.

Pretty much, and the hunchback body double did have better tits. If you like that sort of thing.

wasn’t as good as season 1 but better than people made it out to be.
Wat? S2 was light-years better.

My favorite thing about season 2 was how they developed Ciri. Her training was tough. We see her struggle and fail over and over and over again. She gains respect by earning it. When we see her abilities increase, it feels earned. It made me invested in her as a character, not as a mcguffin.

I may need to rewatch it but I don’t remember it being light years better
I will Rewatch both before season 3 comes out.

Yeah I definitely remembered liking s1 better than s2, but both were good. As a w3 player and having read 4 or 5 of the books, I liked that geralts parts in s1 followed the first book pretty closely. The ciri and yennifer stuff branched off a bit but it was still enjoyable. I don't think a single thing from s2 was in any of the books I've read thus far, which is a little disappointing to me, but I still did overall enjoy it.
My biggest disappointment in the show honestly is dandelion/jaskir. He is by far and away my favorite character from the games and books. Perhaps he's too non-PC for this day and age so maybe that's why the shows portrayal seems a bit neutered, but I wish they took more book dandelion into the show.
Overall though, I love the Witcher franchise and while the show certainly leaves room for improvement, I've quite enjoyed it thus far and hope they keep it going.
