Great show with so many recognizable actors.

Is the Pacific as good? What about generation kill?

Why does this matter based on the content of the series?

They are both good. The general consensus is that BoB is better than the Pacific.

I really liked Generation Kill and it gets better with each re-watch.

The concentration camp almost got me along with when the actual soldiers were thinking back and that both sides were just doing their jobs and how they could have been friends in different circumstances.

The Pacific is great, but not as good of BoB, it's more focused on the individual soldiers and how war impacts them than BoB which makes it a little slower. Still very good though.

Generation Kill is good but it has a different feel than the other two

BoB so good. Have seen it 3 or 4 times. Pacific didn't do much for me.

The Pacific is very good. I enjoyed Band of Brothers maybe a tad more.

Great series.

Pacific is right up there with BoB. Pacific really brought home how shitty the Pacific theater was.

BoB on another level. The Pacific is really good, but it's unfair to compare anything to BoB.

It's funny to see a young Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender with such small parts

A friendly correction: The Pacific was about Marines, not soldiers. Soldiers are in the army.

No. It was a chore to finish it.

Oops, sorry, forgot about the Navy, and more importantly the Navy Corpsmen!

I was pre-disposed to like The Pacific being a Marine officer. It never grabbed me like Bob did.

However, John Basilone had balls the size of grapefruit. Complete badass.

I like both tremendously. BoB is the better of the two & The Pacific usually gets dissed, but I thought the stories of Leckie, Sledge, Basilone, Snafu & their fellow Marines were very enlightening. That being said, BoB is the holy grail of miniseries.
