I'm actually pretty excited too. I've watched every new version of Godzilla to come out in the last 2 decades, but haven't watched a King Kong movie since one of the very old originals. I think I'll make the box office for this one.

I'm not sure what the general consensus is these days, but I like King Kong (2005). It's not a great movie by any means but it's certainly enjoyable, even if it is long as hell.

Call me crazy, but I think most the people die, and the ones that are left befriend Kong. Then the Skullcrawlers try to take over the island and Kong fights for it. Hiddlestone and Larson make it back alive

I agree that I just watched the entire movie in the trailer. Not much left that I can't figure out. Larsen and Loki survive but may end up stuck on the island. Still looks good though. Looks more like a summer popcorn flick but maybe they want to beat the rush of superheroe and transformers.
