Since there should be a lot on this list I decided to go movies only. TV can have it's own thread if someone wants to start one.
My favorite will always be Professor Terguson played by the late great comedian Sam Kinison.
It was a small role but so funny and memorable:

I loved this movie.
I think I read somewhere that when he left that school, their test results dropped back down. He was the strength behind those kids.
