Just watched first couple of episodes, not bad man.
It keeps getting good?
Anyone here love this show?

I love it. I'd say it has a pretty high episode-to-episode quality variance, but I'd also say that was part for the course at the time.
I do think it continues to improve.

One of the best sci-fi shows ever.

Farscape is really underrated. Great main characters and villains, a really alien feeling universe, and the main story arc is very well constructed. I never really appreciated how good the main story was until I did a rewatch a few years ago and saw how well it compared to shows today. A serialized story where the good guys aren't all good and the bad guys aren't all bad.

I agree with this. The show is great. Scorpius develops into one of the great anti-heros of all time. Be aware that the series was abruptly cancelled after season 4 on a cliffhanger. You have to watch the miniseries, Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars for the conclusion of the series.
Technological timing may be the key to understanding the show's lack of respect. While it is the pinnacle of puppetry effects, CGI was becoming ascendant. The show probably seemed prematurely dated to potential fans that followed. Hopefully enough time has passed so they treat the effects as nostalgic and the focus is on the narrative.

I’m a big fan. Great series. A few eps go off into the weeds a bit, but it’s a show willing to take some risks, not take itself too seriously yet deliver great sci-fi.

Wormholes, need I say more?
This show was recommended to me about 10 years ago and I watched the whole thing (and eventually Peacekeeper Wars). I love the easy way that they explain, everyone understanding each other (assuming every alien race has a different language). I ran across this: "Farscape. On the TV show Farscape, John Crichton is injected with bacteria called translator microbes which function as a sort of universal translator. The microbes colonize the host's brainstem and translate anything spoken to the host, passing along the translated information to the host's brain." I remembered him getting injected, I just didn't recall what it was exactly.
It is definitely a fun ride. Has Netflix/Amazon/Hulu ever run it before? I'd love to watch it again, and take it all in.
Farscape is the even more disrespected Firefly, which is how I would put it. Farscape needs waaaaay more of a following though!
Scorpi is the man too

I can't recall a Sci-Fi show that swings for the fences more often than Farscape. By which I mean when they connect, they really connect. They also have quite a few strikeouts along the way.
I would say stick with it and accept that there will be a few stinkers along the way. It is more than worth it.

Keep it going. Wonderful show. Don’t forget the ending is not the ending - there was a TV movie made that put it to rest.

It's better than Battlestar Galactica?
