Had the same thought and unfortunately it's one of those things where you have to suspend your rationale.

If it were out in the middle of nowhere, (and the Pacific is a huge swath of territory to police) it's possible that the Avengers weren't alerted it the Celestial birthing event.

I'm willing to bet that Carol has had some kind of encounter with at least one, whether she realizes it or not.

Who exactly is in the Avengers? I don’t think the team exist anymore. Not till the next Avengers film.

She-Hulk perhaps? They had a very notable relationship that ended very badly...for him.

Wanda's gone rogue. White Vision is running around somewhere, right?

I imagine Hawkeye is about to hang it up after his D+ series.

Thor's hanging with Asgardians of the Galaxy.

Tony & Nat are dead. They'll have to do something with Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Steve is retired.

Strange, Spidey, Bruce, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, new Cap Sam, Bucky.

My guess is they’ll form a new lineup w/ Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Spidey, Ant Man, Scarlet Witch, Black Knight, Sersi, and possibly one new character from the X-Men universe (Wolverine?). I’d also expect to see a Young Avengers Disney+ series with some combo of Wicken & Speed, Ms Marvel, She-Hulk, Kate Bishop, and Yelena Belova.

Agree with others in this thread in that I don’t get the low score, I thought it was great. At first it seemed like only a few of the eternals had legit powers and the others could barely defend themselves but by the end you see how each uses their powers to their advantage and how they’re all badass in their own way. I was totally lost on the post credits scenes but looked up what they meant after and it sounds cool. Excited to see where they go from here

I just got out of this and I don’t know what all the negativity is about, I thought this movie was awesome.

I thought for sure that it was going to come out that the Eternals created the Ten Rings

I felt like they were gonna show that any minute and never did.

Overly sensitive comic book nerds and the faction that hates all movies based on comics.

Yeah that thing he was doing at the end it looked like he clearly made 10 rings. I thought he was gonna say something afterwards

Now given the timeframe we were in, I didn’t think those would be THE 10 rings, just something like it.

Probably my biggest gripe is why the hell did Kumail's character just disappear from the final fight? Like he just decided to sit that one out and we never see him again. Did i miss something?

I think they did that because they felt it was important to show that one of the Eternals agreed with Ikaris and their purpose, but refused to take up arms against his own.

I liked the idea because it showed there was another option and he was going keep his faith even if it meant looking like a coward.

I remember when the big endgame of Marvel movies was aliens invading New York, a mere city on Earth, led by a space prince reject that was defeated by the human race.

Looking back in hindsight, that is so very quaint and small time.

And I say that because of the sheer size and power of the Celestials and how even the strongest Avengers in Carol Danvers, Dr. Strange and Scarlet Witch are still so hopelessly and hilariously outgunned by them. It's not even close.

Not saying the celestials are bad guys, (They're not) but the human race even with the Avengers are ants to them and Earth is just an ant hill to knock over for them.

The Celestials was my favorite part of this movie and I was in awe of their sheer massive size, appearance and power. It's on a scale that humans can barely comprehend if they can comprehend at all along with a moral code that's beyond human understanding.

This one is standing in an asteroid belt like it's nothing

And standing next to Earth like he's 5 times its size.

And this dude is literally creating a fricking full blown galaxy.

Oh and I saw why Brad couldn't resist the temptation of leaving Jen for Angelina.

Thena was so gorgeous in this movie. There was more than a few moments where she was just so captivating and you just stared. And the white hair really just complimented her skin and face so well.
