I always thought this was one of Jim Varney's best movies and one of the better Halloween movies. Yes it's kind of cheesy but as a kid growing up watching it I loved it. Still a must watch for me every year around Halloween time. Just wondering if anyone else watches it and enjoys it?

speaking of Ernest - i tried to find Ernest Goes to Camp to watch with the kids earlier this year and I could not find it to stream or buy a physical copy of. Thought it was a little weird.

I LOVED that movie as a kid. It has probably been 15 years since I've seen it though. Man I might watch it this week

I watched Ernest Scared Stupid more times than I could count as a kid. Hadn’t watched it for over 20 years until I saw it listed on HBO last October.
It was pretty crazy how the memories came flooding back after all that time.

Great movie, along with Ernest Goes to Camp. Watched them many, many times as a kid.

Not sure if they still are doing it but Target had the entire Ernest bundle on sale earlier this year for like $15. It included all the movies as well as a compilation of different commercials that he went around the country doing.

I bought this last wrrk on vudu. A bit over priced for sich an old flic but worth to be able to make mine and gfs kids watch it. As usual they complained at the beginning and loved it by the end.

thanks - i must've just been looking to stream it. I might pull the trigger on that one. Watched Three Amigos with the kids this weekend - i've never seen my daughter laugh so hard

Good thread. This is one of the movies I was always afraid to see again because I didn't think it would hold up. Can't wait until my kids are a few years older and will watch something that isn't animated.

I found it, not surprisingly, at Wal-Mart in the bargain bin.
