“In early 2005, I started to work on this film that was directed by Kevin Connolly. The designer, Amy Westcott, had already worked with him on Entourage. I was the assistant costume designer on this film, called The Gardener of Eden,” Cox says. “I’d been in the industry for a few years at this point—so not a very long time.”

“My department had gone out to dinner prior to the party, compliments of [Westcott]. We were at the party and I don’t think I’d been there for more than an hour or so when Kevin [Connolly] approached me and asked if I’d go with him for a smoke,” recalls Cox, who was 29 at the time. (Connolly alleges he “was not smoking during this time period.”)

By that point in the evening, she says she was a bit tipsy. “I didn’t smoke but didn’t want to seem rude. This was the first social setting I’d been in with him, other than being on set. He led me down a hall to what I guess was the VIP lounge area. As soon as we were alone in that area, he started to kiss me. I didn’t know how to respond—but before I could even think about what to do about it, he pulled me into one of these little side [booths], and pulled down my pants, and turned me around, and within no time was inside of me. I was just in shock.”

Cox’s voice begins to crack. “There was not really a chance in my mind to object or resist. It just happened really fast. I froze and was in shock. Nothing like that had ever happened to me before in any way, shape or form. I was completely caught off-guard.”

She says Connolly came—he was not wearing a condom—and then did something she’ll “never forget.”

“He took a pillow off of a couch, threw it at me, and told me to ‘clean myself up.’ He then told me that he was going to leave and to wait a few minutes, because he didn’t want anyone to see us together,” she says.

Would think he'd have to carry a bucket to stand on to be able to pull that off.

That’s fricking rude as hell.

Somebody is going to come along and sit on that pillow or maybe put their face on it!

J/K

Total dick move. Sounds like what a rapist would do.

Hollywood culture the devil’s playground. This poor woman got bitten by the snake.

I'm sorry but there's been so many accusations that tell this story.

Why didn't you say no or resist?

But everyone is in shock and froze because someone kissed them and then like Frank Dux, the accused is always some world record holder in fastest penetration.

Before I knew what was happening.

He pulled me into another room.

What?

How long does it take you to process information?

All the stories, the women act like nuns or school girls who are so naive they're in shock when someone kisses them.

You work in Hollywood, you're 29 years old. Pretty sure you've been around the block and going to a VIP lounge with a Director wasn't an invitation to play Jenga.

I didn’t smoke but didn’t want to seem rude.

That line gives it all away. That is the dumbest excuse of why you followed a Director into a VIP lounge. In this day and age, turning down a smoke is not considered rude. And pretty sure asking someone to go have a smoke with them in Hollywood is code for something else.

And being "a bit tipsy" is always the fake or regret sex stance...because they don't want to say they were plastered, that has negative connotations historically for the accuser...so it's that little middle ground...not sober but not drunk.

But honestly, from the rest of her story...

If she had said she was three sheets to the wind, the story might have better legs.

<---- Has been kissed by someone I didn't want to be kissed by.

<----- Got my arse up and walked away. There was no "shock" (at least not to the degree I was "frozen"). And certainly wasn't some quick transition to full on sex in the short time it would've taken for me to get up and walk away.

Plus he's like 5'5" and not exactly a meathead. She makes it sound like he was Batista and he had her cornered in a dark alley. And that he was also a serial rapist, when she came out with this in 2017 and no one else has even peeped that he's a dick much less a rapist.

Make no mistake, Connolly needs to rot in prison if this story is true, but this quote pissed me off.

How the frick is it rude to say you don't smoke?

I don’t like not believing the victims in these stories, because people in Hollywood are creeps, but this story sounds really fishy.

' Stop '
' What ever are you doing... '
' This is all ...happening... so... fast '

Sorry, but that's a tough sell there.

It is funny to hear women rant and rave about bodily autonomy with respect to abortion but when it comes to the more recent sexual assault/rape cases the women seems like helpless children.

Yeah I'm sorry but no guy just oopsie daisy ends up inside you with no resistance unless you wanted it and allowed it. There needs to be blowback and penalties for this crying rape shite. Simply having rape in the same sentence as your name changes your life. Kobe Bryant and his daughter were dead 10 minutes before people started condemning him to hell because some girl decided that simply having sex with him wasn't enough attention for her
