Saw it tonight, it was well done and was extremely respectful to Elvis while also telling the struggles he had later in his career. Tom hanks was great as the Colonel and really brought out the showman aspect of him. Great movie and I went into it with tempered expectations.

I’m sure it’s good. I just can’t find any want to go see it. Biopics in general are boring and we’ve had to many singer ones over the past few years.

I mean, that’s just a ridiculous statement. If you don’t like biopics, fine, but just to make a blanket statement like that is preposterous.

It was time for America, and the world, to be reintroduced to the King and I’m glad to hear it was done right.

They are about 75% pointless and boring as are all films. Why should biopics be any different.

Would love to see it, but I just can't go to that level of supporting Hollywood.

... especially Tom Hanks.

Thank you for coming to a movie board to tell us that you don't watch movies.

You sir, are a true American.

If they drop tickets prices back to $8 you will, you just cant at $13. That's just too much support.

Decided not to go as soon as I heard that the person voicing the Baz Luhrmann character wasn't Tim Allen.

It isn’t though. Biopics never delve into anything interesting other than “they had a dark side.” Ok. Are movies able to really extrapolate what made them great? Haven’t seen one successfully do it yet.

I don’t dislike they but they are boring

Yea no doubt this will probably be good

But, Elvis was a very interesting person outside of the “cautionary tale” trope these movies usually delve into

Stories like how he got into sun studios the first time, his relationships with other stars, behind the scenes as he’s making movies, his attempts to protect his daughter at all costs, his “karate training”, his “FBI work”

Could go on and on

Do you think a 9 year old could see it? My daughter really wants to see it but thought it might be a little rough with drug usage, etc.
