Don’t let these barbaric subhumans spit their vitriol at you. You’re the hero they need, not the one they deserve

I think you went beyond the scope of the original topic

I didn’t like the movie. It seemed like the chronology was all screwed up and it was just all over the place

I enjoyed it also, although I can see how others may not.

I'm wondering if one of the issues is that it turned into more of a musical than a straight biopic with music included. (talking about the scenese where they are walking in the street and everyone busts out into song and dance).

I was actually surprised by this, but it ended up not affecting my enjoyment (I typically don't like this style of musical).

this is what we get from freddy mercury bio: a copycat movie. Yellow Brick Road still a graet album though.

I enjoyed it - maybe not as much as Bohemian Rhapsody, but it was pretty good - I never knew a lot of what Elton dealt with growing up and early on in his career.

I enjoyed it. I took it less as a bio pic and more of a musical. I know people didn't like that it played loose with facts in a number of scenes and with Elton actually being alive, he had influence shaping the narrating.

We watched it the other night. I liked it quite a bit. I thought it was a lot better than Bohemian Rhapsody - I turned that one off midway through.
Yeah, they played a little loose with the chronology, but it was more of a musical fantasy than anything. If you can accept scenes of the crowd levitating during a gig, you can accept the fact that Elton John is performing Crocodile Rock five years before it was recorded.
