What has always irritated me about the DVD/BR release of this movie is that it says "Director's Cut", but somehow Michael Mann clearly screwed it up from the original release.

If you were lucky enough to see the original theatrical release/VHS release, it had the better ending (where Magua's blood squib effects weren't bizarrely edited out). There were other weird changes too, like removing the Clannad song before the finale, but that one always stuck out to me the most.
