If he is into the whole Tarantino catalog, then he also has a keen appreciation for torture and violent S&M/anal rape.
Father of the year?

this movie also has a excellent soundtrack, not really what you'd expect from a "western"
Dege Legg, from Lafayette has a tune on the soundtrack:
Too Old to Die Young

The kid is all for it (he's 13). He and I both cite "Basterds" as our favorite movie
You will get people that hate, but frick them.
I distinctly recall being in 6th grade when Kill Bill Trailrrs were circulating in previews. It looked so awesome!
So I went home and google QT. Told my dad we were going to watch his other movies. He said no at first (he had seen them all and said I was too young), but then said ok hat the hell.
We watched em all and I was just blown away by the dialogue and writing. Pulp Fiction remains my favorite movie to this day, and QT is an idol of mine.

Yeah, he's seen the Kill Bill movies and Pulp Fiction as well. He's not your average 13 year old, and I have no problem letting him watch stuff like that. He isn't going to repeat anything he hears and he isn't going to do something just because he saw it in a movie. He's more mature than my 19 year old son. Age is relative.

Your 13 year old sons favorite movie is inglorious Basterds? Django has Violence on a scale of a good 9, dropping the N word at a record setting level and your 13 year old is going to love it. Yeesh.
Well, his name is Lucifer.

Totally hear you. He matured early. I saw all kinds of shite when I was that age because my parents had all the movie channels. If he's mature enough to handle it, by all means, let him watch.

Dege Legg really? I worked with him at Rays Sports Bar and Grill back in the day

I was a freshman in high school for Pulp Fiction and watched with my Dad. Rhames' rape scene was very uncomfortable for me. Ole dad didn't give a shite

I guess it actually has more to do with his character rather than his maturity. I know adults who still act like assholes. When I was a kid I was very similar to him, and I know he has the ability to think for himself and not be influenced by what he sees or hears. I'll draw the line at graphically sexual content, but otherwise I will let him watch just about anything and not have a single worry.

No one knows their kid better than the parent. I have a 8 year old and know what he can handle and can't. He was playin a game while I was watching Walking Dead and I caught him looking. I said, awe baw, turn your head. I doubt you'd let him watch something if you knew it'd mess him up

You think that was bad. I'm 20 and watched both seasons of GoT with my dad, including Littlefinger's monologue. Boy was that hilarious

Does it harken back to his 90's feel? I'm not a kill bill/inglorious fan.

I'm really glad to hear that it's great. I've had mixed feelings about the trailers.
