Netflix seasons often drag out for 2 - 3 episodes longer than they need to be or have episodes that are needlessly long, but 32 minutes (and 39 for episode 1) seems too short.

I'm beginning to wonder if this was really originally going to be a movie and Disney simply decided to cut it into 8 "episodes" to keep subscriptions up long enough for people to forget they signed up for yet another monthly streaming service.

If they were all 30 minutes long (they arent, they are closer to 40) that would be a 4 hour movie. If anything, I am hoping that the first two were supposed to be one episode and they split it into two for the launch week. I doubt that as well though since there were two different directors for the episodes.

That aside, it was another good episode i thought. I enjoyed it.

Yeah they’re going to, and rightfully so, catch some flak for these episodes being so short.

I imagine it will be like this the whole season but if enough people bitch about it they’ll probably make them longer. They don’t have to be an hour long. Just 40 minutes, minus credits, is enough to satisfy

I'm hoping the same, and maybe there is some justification to that considering the first episode was released mid-week.

I've enjoyed it so far too, I just want these to be a little longer. Maybe I should just hold off watching them until the season is finished and then the length probably won't matter to me, but I know I'm not going to do that.

The short length doesn't really bother me. I just finished watching it and was amazed how much they packed into less than 30 mins. 40-45 mins is probably the sweet spot, and I assuming most episodes will be that long. Is it even listed somewhere?

It was really good but much too short. I really want to know more about the child

The Child must be brought to pre Rian Johnson Master Skywalker for training and protection and hidden until the dark times of Emperor Kathleen Kennedy and her SJW Empire are past us

This show feels like a video game.

I don’t mean it in a disparaging way. Just with a nameless protagonist and arcs having side quests and boss battles (rhino and the shootout) plus a helpful stranger that you meet along the way. I could see this being played in a game.

I must say I was miffed at the only 27 minutes of content but I am liking it.

The Jawas brought me right back to being 10 in the movie theater experiencing the SW universe for the first time. They sure do love eggs.

Honestly, the baby Yoda or Boda as we have come to call it in our house is the real hook in the show.

The first 2 episodes were clearly written as individual episodes.

The length really doesn't bother me because, so far, the show is excellent.

And, would adding an additional 15 mins of content that doesn't move the show along make it better?

What does everything think the Mandalorian's next move is? Is he bringing baby Yoda in for the reward? Or is he going to hold the child a little longer as he contemplates his next move
