I haven't even heard of this, but reading through those reviews you linked, I tend to agree (heavily) with this one:
quote:

This remake of Pinocchio, like many of Disney’s live action remakes, offers no compelling reason for its existence.

Anyone who wants to relive memories of watching the original as a child should just revisit it.

The thing that unsettles you the most about Pinocchio is Stromboli is a Gypsy.

It may be terrible (haven't watched yet), but I will watch just about anything with Tom Hanks in it.

Probably because the story of Pocahontas is very UN-PC. Not surprising this didn't do well in today's society...Colonization, rape, murder, not very woke if you ask me...

Did I do that right?

After an all-time legendary run in the 80’s & 90’s, Tom Hanks is doing a great job of leveling out his career from 2000- till now.

Imagine telling Walt they are remaking all his cartoon movies into live action movies.

"Why would they want to do that?"

Crazy low for a Zemeckis movie, but for him to release straight to streaming, you know it did really shitty in the focus groups.

I will assume anything with him in it sucks. He is done.

Does Pinocchio identify as a boy or girl in this one?

I thought I read earlier that there are three different Pinocchio movies this fall?

Is that right?
