Did Eleven kill an innocent man in Stranger Things Season 2 ? (Spoilers)

In one of the flashback sequences, a hunter approached her in the woods and asks if she needs help. She proceeds to mind-push him backwards 20 feet and then leaves him unconscious in freezing conditions after stealing his jacket and hat. There was never any explanation as to what happened to that guy.

I think it was mentioned in passing when reporter/PI guy talked to Hopper about a guy running into a russian girl in the woods (in the 1st episode?).
So I don't think he died, but lived and went on to tell the tale of the russian girl stealing his coat .

It's TV. Yes, if it were a real situation and the guy was unconscious in the freezing woods, he could very well die, but I think it's presumed that he was not killed.
