Located in Cenla. I don't see it on my guide. Dispute I guess. Is this all of Louisiana? How does that work for Saints games?

I don’t think they had any of the Fox sports channels for the MLB season.

Yep. Dish is in another contract dispute with Nexstar Media who owns a bunch of Fox and NBC affiliates across the country. We get our local Fox out of Monroe and it's blacked out. I think Nexstar owns WGN too.

Yup.

You should've seen a crawl at the bottom of the screen during the last Saints game on FOX, telling you that they're about to hit the negotiations wall with Dish.

Nexstar buying up all the local tv stations is one of the worst things that could have happened

Nexstar just gobbled up other station groups. Your local Nexstar most probably wasn't "local" when they bought them.

And all station groups and independent network affiliates go through the same process with the cable and sat providers. They all have contracts and they all have arguments when it's time for contract renewal.

Nexstar has purposely gobbled up all these stations to build up leverage. They are now the largest holder of local stations in the country with 120 markets and 42 state.

So while I agree, this has been escalating a while we are hitting a breaking point in this industry as cable/satellite operators are already bleeding customers.

Be curious to see if OTT providers like YTV/Hulu will be even quicker to drop these stations then legacy providers. As seen with the Sinclair owned RSNS.

Yeah. We just lost NBC channel 6 on Dish. This is part of Nextstar media. Local Fox has been off for months.

LINK

Link to video that explains what’s going on. I bought an antenna months ago and have been completely satisfied with it. Frick these media companies for charging fees when it’s free OTA
