Damnation Season Long Thread (Season 1, Ep7 - 12/28/17 9pm cst)on USA (backed by Netflix)

12/28/17, Episode 7: "A Different Species" - Creeley meets his master on an exclusive hunting retreat, but finds there is more than one game at play here. Seth infiltrates a nearby factory...
12/21/17, Episode 6: Sorry, I slacked off last week.
12/14/17, Episode 5: EPISODE INFO
When a traveling carnival comes to Holden, a collection of new faces put Seth and Creeley on their toes, but it's a friend from the past that truly shakes things up.
-=: One thing of note, they changed the night Damnation airs now. It used to be on Tuesday nights, now it's Thursday nights. Also, they didn't have an episode last week. I haven't really checked into why. Maybe something to do with them fully picking up the series and the first few episodes were pilots. I'll look into that though. :=-
Update, 11/28/17, Episode 4: This one is seemingly following along with the first 3 episodes as for how it looks like it's going to be. First 3 were damn good, pushing limits I didn't think would be possible for a network series. Show has been damn good and I'll keep on encouraging everyone to watch it and hope our thread will grow some more. Episode 4 previews appear to have the banks and farmers commence for negotiations. Seems the brothers will finally face each other head to head, but we at all see. 5 mins until show time!.....Episode 4 was great. As I said below, I don't want to say too much bc of spoilers, but the strike is finally coming to a head and the farmers started having some issues between themselves.
Also, learned that Netflix is on as a co-producer and they have first broadcasting rights outside of the United States. Thought that was interesting.
Update 11/21/17 for Episode 3: Looks like another good one. This is one of my favorite new shows. I suggest everyone watch it and see what they think about it. Episodes 1 and 2 were great, can't wait for 3.
Currently on episode 2. Show is badass. Crime/drama with an old school gangster twist.
Episode 1 surprised the hell out of me. It's on USA network and they got away with stuff I didn't realize cable networks could do. Saying the word frick a few times, showing female asses. Just surprised me for cable.
Show so far has been very good. I'm a fan of old school gangster movies and this series fits in with that. Based in the 30s and pits 2 brothers against each other. To me, it's got a great mix of character development, plot development and just enough action.
Anyone who hasn't checked it out yet, I'd recommend it. Comes on USA network, Tuesdays at 9pm central time.

Just watched E2. Definitely a fan so far. In general, I like the crime/drama/gangster stuff from that era. Wasn’t sure if I would like it set in a rural area as opposed to a city but so far so good

Watched the first episode, pretty interesting subject matter that hasn’t really been put on tv yet. Will definitely be watching the rest of the season.

Sounds similar to Peaky Blinders. The promos had that vibe too.
How is it different, other than location?

TBH, I've never seen Peaky Blinders. Wish I could tell you more.

I watched the first two last night. Solid.

I have watched the first 3 episodes. Really good so far. Who do you think the female strike breaker is? Is she old enough to be their mother?
Posted on 11/23/17 at 9:59 am to 12
I've been wondering that too. I'm wondering if she's some kind of ex of preacher boy (can't remember his name), bc she carries around that picture of him and what appears to be another woman. I can't tell who the woman is, but he's younger in it.
I never thought about it being their mom, very well could be.
On another note, I really recommend everyone to watch this show. For a show on cable TV, it's damn good. Hell, I'd even put it up against Netflix type series, it's just that good. I'm surprised at how they've pushed the envelope on what they've showed vs what normally is allowed on a network like USA. Anyways, great series, I'd recommend it to everyone.

Great show tonight. Don't want to give away too many spoilers but, I'll just say that the strike is finally coming to a head and the farmers started having some issues between themselves.

Bump for new show tonight. Time for Tigerdroppings to start watching this show. It's badass and surprised Netflix didn't keep it for themselves.

I feel so lonely in this thread.
But, I'm going to keep trying. I think if y'all give it a chance, most of y'all will like it.
