Haven't various parties been digging on the island for something like 50 years and no one has found much of anything yet?

Some interesting artifacts have been found but no treasure.

Came to me last night in a dream. All evidence points to a Spanish galleon being repaired from a storm. The money pit is a mine.

I think it's more likely that a galleon was drydocked and repaired there and the money pit was a water well. Why mine while fixing your ship? Wouldn't getting on your way be the priority? And I don't think the Spanish conquistadors were miners anyway... they primarily just stole already mined gold from Indians.

That wouldn't make sense. Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a mile from Oak Island. It would have been easier to find fresh water there than it would have been to dig hundreds of feet down with primitive tools on an island knowing that any water found would likely be mixed with salt water.

Hard to tell how old the iron pieces in the bottom of C1 are.

That rose-head spike nail that Gary found is most intriguing to me, especially if it turns out to be as old as he thinks (1600's).

Also, RIP Drake Tester. I had no idea he had passed. I read up on it, and it turns out he died from complications of seizure disorder. Shitty.

Yeah. It looked like it went with the bracket they had already recovered.

The first episode was really good. That video quality in C1 was really good. What were all those black objects in that cavern? I can’t wait to see if they recover some of it.

Chicken wire or fence wire from a previous dig to keep out the locals farm animals probably.

And the shiny "gold" strange object? A belt buckle or old timey shoe buckle is most likely. Could be a buckle from an old animal collar.

Spoilers

They didn’t find anything. If they did, we’d know about it already.

Seriously though I’m glad you enjoy the show. But it seems as pointless as Finding Bigfoot.

I thought the hook and mesh looked like they could have been parts of some sort of hoist.

Yeah if they found the holy grail we’d know about it by now but there’s a plethora of possible finds that wouldn’t make the news but would still be pretty cool and make for good TV.

OP needs to update the title to be a season long thread.

Looking forward to tonight’s episode.
