Ours was up to $196 for basic Internet and cable with 2boxes, 1 of which was a DVR. We got HBO, but no other special packages. We cut the cord almost a year ago and haven't regretted it once.
We now pay $8.99 for Hulu Plus and $29.99 for basic Internet with Time Warner(we moved from Nola in Oct.)We use sisters password for Netflix. We are Amazon prime members, so get Amazon instant included free, use parents password for HBOgo, and have a Mohu leaf antenna in the attic which pulls in about 30 hd channels for free.
We now spend $40 a month instead of $200 and I don't miss anything I like to watch(Game of Thrones, Hannibal, The Killing, Mad Men, Lost Girl, True Blood etc)
