I’m somewhat curious if Walken is ready to play a role that isn’t a self-parody.

He was solid in a more serious role in both The Deer Hunter and Catch Me If You Can just off the top of my head.

He's always been capable of that.

That's certainly an interesting choice.

The self parody bit didnt really start until Suicide Kings. The dude is a great actor and a really fascinating choice.

We're talking about a director who gets great performances out of actors with minimal acting chops. He'll know how to work with someone as talented as Walken.

I trust Denis to crush it but I mean those movies are 43 and 20 years old, not sure that’s a guarantee that he can still act at that level, similarly I wouldn’t have that high expectations for a Robert Deniro or Al Pacino performance in 2022 either, even though they were in The Godfather a half century ago

Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and Javier Bardem, among others, are returning for the Legendary feature, with Florence Pugh and Austin Butler among the newcomers.

Pugh is playing Princess Irulan, the daughter of the emperor, while Butler is Feyd-Rautha, the cunning nephew of the baron who heads House Harkonnen and who is being groomed to rule Arrakis.

I thought someone like Charles Dance would have been perfect

I am currently reading Dune for the first time. I haven't watched the movie yet until I am done with the first novel. Does the first movie just cover the first half of the book?

Supposedly he has in his contract that he gets to do a dance move in every movie. Curious how that will work

Yes, it covers the first half of the book, which was the right way to do it.

This is where I parked my car. This will either be amazing, or we'll hear about future reshoots.

He was a really good disabled gangster in Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead, as well as a retired/taped down gangster in Suicide Kings.
