Anyone going to catch this movie this weekend? I know it is probably the same thing as the old version. But it looked like it would not be that bad in the previews. Just curious if anyone will watch it, or have seen it.

Just watched it. Its very similar to the old story. I was hoping that it would be a little more gruesome.

Julianne Moore (sp?) plays crazy mom really well.

How many times are they gonna remake this movie?

This is the 3rd Carrie

That being said, I'm sure I'll see it. Husband hates horror movies so either I'll see it with a gf, by myself, or wait for it to come out on dvd.

Def best time of year. I been addicted to amc fear fest. Love the non stop horror movies! I will probably end up catch it Sunday maybe. And i will try to post a review of it. But i would like to hear anymore feedback on it. I know that the story will pretty much be the same. I just wanted to see if it was a decent remake.

I'll probably go check it out some time soon, I can't believe how fast October is flying by. Probably because it's one of my favorite times of the year lol.

I'll edit and give a longer review tomorrow after I sleep on it. Syfy, AMC and TCM all got into the party this year!

I watched Nosferatu and Vampyr starting at 1am recently on TCM. The quality was so much better than my copy of Nosferatu. This time of the year usually ends with buying a few dozens movies to add to the collection.

Chloe Moretz is a little too pretty for the role. Why do all the girls hate her, because all the guys want to frick her?

I read some behind the scenes stuff that said she played her part differently than Spacek. Moretz is pretty, but the years of abuse is supposed to make her feel "ugly" inside. Which, supposedly is how it is supposed to come across on screen. Basically i guess like a socially awkward, semi pretty girl. With a very low self esteem. Supposedly Moore as the mother does a really good job from what i read also.

Was the bathroom tampon scene in this version?

Yes the tampon shower scene is in it.

The story line follows very close to the original. I really didn't care much for this movie. The mom (moore) was very good. Bitch was nuts and played it well. Carrie was kind of annoying. She seemed way more in control of her powers and almost comic book evil villain like in this movie. I preferred the old one where she just freaked out and everything went ape-shite.

The shower scene started off decent but disappointed. Carrie was way too intelligent and cute in this movie. The actress was trying way to hard to make her weird and anti-social. I don't think I can say anymore without giving away spoilers.

Well I wouldn't say hate. I guess he just doesn't appreciate them like I do. But I grew up watching horror movies since I was like 4(my dad loves them and let us watch them when we were young).

Yeah they had Cujo and The Lost Boys on at the same time last night. It was a tough choice....but the Corey boys won out on me(I had huge crushes on both of them growing up).
