Looking to binge-watch one.

Which is better?

The OA is really bad IMO.

I THINK Gracepoint is the US version of Broadchurch and it was pretty good. I could be getting my shows mixed up there, but if thats what Broadchurch is, I would definitely watch that.

What's your reasoning behind that statement?

Without giving anything away, it was just way too dumb and the whole story hinged on the people captured and there's just no way the person holding them wouldn't have been doing what he wasn't doing in the show. Plus, the whole premise was just ridiculous to me.

Broad church was very good in my opinion.

OA had a lot of potential but in the end was just weird.

The high school kids having sex just was weird for me as well. I mean, seeing them have sex.

Love Broadchurch. Season one is epic. Two and 3 are alright.

So you don't like it because you reasoned through the story better than the authors?

The premise is part of an overarching theme in all of Brit Marling and the director's work. This is like the 3rd project like this they have made.

Broadchurch

I only watched season 1 actually, but it was good. From the way it ended and what I heard about season 2, I wasn't interested in watching beyond that even though I enjoyed it.

The OA had a fascinating premise but was executed pretty terribly. The ending was god awful.

Broadchurch, and to steal a phrase from this site, it’s not even close.

The OA is an elaborate, and hilarious troll job. It’s god awful.

I second Broadchurch. If you wanna binge watch a show quickly only to feel disappointed in yourself for finishing it, then The OA is your answer.

I wouldn't say it sucked, but it didn't live up to Season 1. Not to give anything away, but I thought it was going to be a slightly different set of characters in the second season, but it did wrap up a couple of things nicely in the end. Season 3 was pretty much a standalone season. We just binged all 3 in about 2 weeks time. 8 episode seasons at 45 minutes each was easy to knock out a couple a night when we watched anything.

Haven't seen Broadchurch but don't waste your time on OA. I was told it was good so I gave it a shot. It starts off interestingly enough but starts to drag on. And every time you're ready to quit they give you one more slightly interesting tidbit. They keep tossing out those tiny baby carrots until you realize you're at the end and then they frick you in the arse. Like royally frick you. No dinner. No lube. Just a surprise frick in the arse.

That gif above...that's the culmination of the carrots. I shite you not.
