LINK

I'm starting to read more rumors about this as Brandon Roth's recent appearance as Superman was extremely well received. Heck, I haven't watched the CW lately and checked in and was really happy to see Roth in costume again. He looks great and some age on him works.

The rumor has it would be based on the events of the 2006 movie and that would work.

How would like to see this? I'm in.

Roth wasnt a bad superman. but the whole land creation thing was pretty terrible.

But Harry is a WAY better superman.

I’m in. I actually thought his role as Superman (look especially) were much better in CoIE than Superman Returns. I’m presuming by the end scene that Oliver/Specter fixed his Kingdom Come timeline so his friends and family are still alive. Wouldn’t mind exploring that more since either way gives an interesting dynamic

Routh made a perfect modern-day version of the Reeves superman. That's what he was asked to portray and he was perfect.

Cavill is a different kind of superman, and has done a great job working with the issues that he got saddled with.

Superman Returns is a much better film that it will ever get credit for.

i wouldnt go that far. It wasnt a good film. the writing was bad.

BUT Routh did great and the airplane scene is classic superman.

I love the idea of DC using the Multiverse concept to give us the same characters in different settings with different themes.

The scene where he saves the airliner is one of the best examples of super powered flight I'd ever seen at the time. It's perfect how they (for the most part) actually consider physics in how he moves, interacts with the plane etc.

Scene

So many good things about that movie, lost due to bad writing and a bad casting of Lois.

Oh well.

Ive always said if DC was smart, once the hate came out about making a joker origin movie and it was a hit, that they should make another, With Joaquin, that is a completely different origin. to follow the many many stories the joker has told about how he came about.

CW is already bringing a Superman show to series. They kind of showed you the first glimpse of it at the end of Crisis, when the worlds merged, and Superman was revealed to have two sons. It’s going to be like a Superman and Lois raising a family type show

Zack Snyder would have Superman rescue Lois then watch the plane crash into a packed stadium creating a massive fireball.

Meanwhile Bruce Wayne watches a TV in shocked disgust.

All true.

Which is why I detest Man of Steel in so many ways.

Good Lord. Pay Welling a ton - he is the man. And he is freakin’ huge - perfect for Supes. Get him some black hair dye - he still looks young as well.

For a guy who never wanted to wear the cape - that convention $$ (usually with Rosenbaum) keeps him still in it - all the time. He just had his first kid too - he may need the dough.

I doubt that they'd do two Superman series at the same time but, if they do, they could have the Superman and Lois series on CW and the Routh Superman series on HBO Max (where the Green Lantern Corps series is set to appear).

I don’t know.

At one point didn’t we have DC film Batman, Gotham, and DC Titans Batman all running around at the same time.

There’s probably another live action Batman in there somewhere.

While most folks in the know are aware of the separate universes, I can see how a casual viewer thinking All of this shite is supposed to link together seeing as that’s what we have been conditioned to think lately.

They usually limit it to one live action show, one animated, and one film version at a time, though there's been some overlap. The animated films break all of the rules though.

Right now we've got a Batman on Titans and a missing Batman on Batwoman. That's the biggest TV to TV overlap. Titans and the Arrowverse share a couple of villains.

While Roth loves playing the character, and he's a damn good Superman, I think it would be better to have him appear every now and then in a crossover.

He's good in Legends with his current character. Ride that horse till it dies.

As others have said, bring Welling in for a few guest shot's as well.

Erica Durance as well. Still looking fine.

No objections to Kristin Kreuk either. Always wondered what became of superpowered Lana.
