Episode 6 "Free Churro" is one of the best goddamn 25ish minutes of TV I've watched in a long time

Free Churro is the standout for writing and delivery. I mean that's all I can really say. The animation gags, the monologue, and the punchlines all landed perfectly.
Season 6 has a pretty good board to jump off of and I really want more Gina.

Watched “Free Churro” last night.... that might be the best episode in the series, and it’s just Bojack ranting into the abyss about how shitty his parents were. Then the punchline at the end.... that might be the hardest I’ve ever laughed. It’s why I really appreciate long jokes because if you can pull off the punchline, the length makes it all the funnier, plus Bojack even failing to shite on his own mother’s funeral makes it glorious.

Is it bringing the funny this season. I'm not sure I even finished last season. Just too damn dark and depressing.

It’s still really dark. Season 4 ended decently dark with Bojack’s mother, and “Free Churro” was very black comedy with a funny twist at the end.

Season 5 had some dark mements, but overall was probably the least dark season.

4 is easily the darkest in my opinion, and there is no competition. 1 had the setting uo of Todd, 2 had the Escape from L.A. stuff, season 3 had the f$&ked up Sara Lynn stuff, but 4 had the deep dive into his family history which was just so f$&king bleak. Season 5 was really enjoyable.

Season 4 does for once end on a positive note for Bojack. Episodes 2 and 11 are extremely dark and it’s impressive they make you sympathize with someone as horrible as Beatrice, who is in the running for worst mother in television history. She blows Mallory Archer out of the water, which is saying something.
