It was enjoyable and on MTV, so of course it had to be cancelled.

Saw this show when he was at the Civic Center a couple months ago, it was great. Definitely worth the watch.

Choosing to put it on Mtv may have been his biggest mistake.

Def gonna check out. I'm a fan.

It seemed the last few yrs he always comes to Nola during a home game (this yr-UF game).

His tv show came out around the same time as maron's and schumer's and I was surprised I liked his the most.

Goofy and smart and had a heart. Glad they shot the last episode like an ending in case they got cancelled. (Bc they did)

And as much as I like his funny wordplay type songs stuff like nerds, art is dead, we think we know you, & rant is where his real genius comes out. Gonna watch tomorrow.

Yea describing Zach Stone and then explaining why he chose MTV over Comedy Central never made sense to me. If the show weren't a satire, the market at MTV would've loved it. As it was, his target audience was at Comedy Central.

Regardless, he said he'd explore being zach stone back at some point, mentioning something like Netflix.

Watched it last night. Lol'd though the whole thing. Definitely weird in parts but great. Anyone who likes him should look up Stephen Lynch

You should watch Demetri Martin's Youtube special "If I" then. The guy is a genius as well. The whole special is very thought provoking while still being hilarious and poignant. You won't regret devoting an hour to it.

I clicked coke's link, and I have watched literally less than a minute of him on stage and have laughed out loud several times. Just silly, stupid, quirky little shite that is right up my alley humor wise.

You need to go back and listen to all of his youtube songs that basically made him famous (go to the link I posted, and watch most of "Bo's Playlist" - most of the songs are there). Dude is seriously brilliant when writing his songs, and his word play is fantastic.

Then watch his 30 minute standup on Comedy Central.

Then watch Words Words Words (that one is on DVD, so it may be on NF??).

Then watch this one.

I know the word "genius" gets thrown around a lot these days, but sometimes he really seems to be. And not only in his acts, but in his jokes, songs, the way he approaches everything, etc. The kid is awesome.

I've always loved Demitri Martin, but I admit he is sort of an acquired taste, as a lot of people don't seem to like him very much.

I plan on watching "what" in a few minutes hopefully.

Just finished it. I've actually seen a lot of this act before (people uploading youtube videos at his shows I guess), but it's pretty good. It's not as good as Words Words Words IMO, but still pretty clever and catchy.

Yeah I love demetri Martin and I really enjoyed "if I". Definitely a thought provoking type of set while still being great comedy.

Word words words was funny and clever.

What, while an amazing performance, was not particularly humorous. There were several places where I smiled but never once did I actually laugh.

I liked what he did, and applaude him for his creativity. Its not strictly stand up and perhaps his act isn't designed to produce the big laughs so I won't look to find fault with it.

Is words words words not the same sort of thing?

It has nothing to do with the comedic format he uses. Words was funnier than What IMO.

I agree with you (except that I don't think it was some sort of amazing thing). It was funny at times I think, but I feel like I would've laughed more had I not seen most of the material already.

I definitely agree with that though.

WWW is definitely better and funnier than What.
