Better Call Saul May end up being as good if not better than Breaking Bad. Can’t believe it.

Better.
Way more character depth and development than BrBa.
And the show is based on a joke character from breaking bad as per Vince.

Its very possible...Vince will deliver an awesome ending and then have more characters to create a new show!

You cannot go wrong with either one, really. It’s easy to see both sides

I think BCS is a better show overall because of the production value. But, the story and subject matter of BB is way better and much more intense.

Better Call Saul may be as well made, but it doesn’t yet have a run of episodes as good as the second half of season 4 or the last ten episodes of season 5. Still a lot of time left for another great finish, though.

It already is IMO. BB is awesome, but it is overrated by most on this board IMO
Admittedly though, BCS is better purely because of the stuff we know in BB. It’s better because we all know what this shite is building to; we all know the endgame for the most part (outside of the Gene stuff).

BB is far better but that's no slight on BCS because BB is the best TV show ever IMO. I think BCS will be #2 when it's done.

I think we have to wait until the end to decide. Part of what made BB so great was how they closed it out.
We have to see how BCS closes until we can decide.

I’d rather just call BCS an excellent companion piece. A spin-off character study of Saul Goodman has turned out to be way better than I ever imagined it could be.

Both are excellent. BCS has to land the plane well before this discussion can even really take place.

BCS s1 was so boring and slow, I couldn't finish it.

I enjoy BCS better but I know BB is better

I prefer BCS.
I find it more enteraining

I prefer breaking bad. Saul's show on it's own wouldnt hold as much weight without breaking bad, I've loved this season so far though.

I think apples to oranges. BCS is much more of a slow burn but equally as quality.

I have to say this is some pretty interesting conversation. Good points being made from both sides.
I refuse to decide until it's done. BCS does have 2 advantages. It automatically gets legitimacy from BB, and the writers have the advantage of knowing what works and what doesn't in this universe.
I can't call it until the end, but BB had a lot of stuff when you rewatch you want to fast forward through. Maybe it was boring, or just not important.
With BCS, I think it's a much slower burn, but it's hard to fast forward through anything because every scene matters. It may feel slow at times, but every scene serves some kind of purpose.

The fact alone that when I rewatch BB I fast forward anything with Skyler or Marie is another reason I prefer BCS.
BB currently has an ending that will be hard to beat, I'll give it that, but the Gene stuff has a great, great deal of potential.

Gotta agree kinda. The primary reason BCS is so fire is because were already well immersed in the story, and wanting more. It’s an excellent series, but i doubt it would get so much praise and attention if there were no BB. Im not sure if one is better than the other tho.
