And this isn't an insult to Breaking Bad at all.

I might actually agree with this, and it isn’t a slight towards BB, Saul is just that good. However, I’ll have to wait until the entire series plays out, but on the face of what many will see as an outlandish statement, it could very well prove true.

I prefer Breaking Bad and the story of Walter White but I can see what you mean about Better Call Saul. Not to speculate what other people like about it but I find there is more truth in what we are getting from the story of Saul. In addition to the story of Mike, the backstory about Mike in episode Five-O was Johnathan Bank's shining moment as an actor.

I do wonder if I would feel the same about it, had we not had Breaking Bad first as a point of reference for what the characters eventually become. All that in mind, Breaking Bad is the series of its time.

I'm reserving judgement until the end. The final season of Breaking Bad was just so good. I will agree that taking it season by season has me liking BCS more.

Both are incredible.

You are entitled to your opinion and I appreciate it. Buts your opinion is wrong.

It's an extremely good show, but IMO just can't be compared to BB.

It's not, but it definitely surpassed all expectations I had for it. By a mile.

If BB never existed and the show stood on its own it would still be just as phenomenal, it "feels" like BB in the way the stories play out. I just wish it wasn't so damn long between seasons.

Bob Odenkirk is amazing, but I give BB the edge.

Lol no

It may get there, and it's a very good show, but not yet.

Good show but not even close. Most of the time people are just waiting for their favorite characters from Breaking Bad to show up.

I'd much rather read this than someone ranting about a new Star Wars movie, but I don't agree. I don't think Better Call Saul has been on long enough for anyone to make this assessment.

The wait between seasons does suck. Wouldn't be so bad if AMC had any other good shows.

BCS can really go gangbusters if they wrap up the series with a significant amount of episodes (half season or more) dedicated to the Gene storyline.

BCS and BB will always be tied at the hip although they're certainly two sort of separate entities in and of themselves. Fully exploring the Gene storyline will really tie a ribbon around the entirety of the BB universe.

Saul Goodman was my favorite character on Breaking Bad. I never warmed up to the Jimmy McGill character though.

Better Call Saul is excellent. Maybe a slight notch under Breaking Bad.
