They’re not doing themselves any favors with the trailers.

I haven’t seen one since the second one with Matt Saracen, though, so maybe I’m not the target.

It's kind of preachy. But I don't pay attention to the social commentary stuff. I just love to watch the world burn..

I don’t think I’ll catch it anytime soon but the cage trap scene in the trailer seems cool as heck.

It's a bit of a different theme from the others. I'm sure it will be on streaming services soon. I wonder if it would have made more money going straight to Netflix, Hulu or Amazon..

Election Day was my favorite so far. Looking forward to this one.

Looks like white people beating up and terrorizing minorities, is that a lot of it?

Euphoric,

I don’t know what it is but I’m getting Tipper Gore 80s vibe from that question.

I mean they are stoking the fear with the film I would assume, I remember when the Purge was just a cool story concept.

Looks like the Purge movies are merging script with the Saw franchise

Not even anywhere close to the best, and might even be the worst. In fact, I think it’s probably the worst. I will give my positives though:

- Every check in this movie, even the two crazy ones were attractive. I have always kind of had a thing for Cassidy Freeman ever since Smallville. She looks like the type of chick who you could go play softball with, and then come back home and smash. Even the main protagonist chick, while not classically beautiful, it was still pretty

- The main families horse stables were incredible. Like that’s a life goal to have baller stables like that

Now for the negatives:

- A good Director doesn’t really need to hold your hand, and there was so much handholding in this movie. From the first “villain” explaining why he was doing what he was doing, to a conversation between two characters who are the only two characters awake during a road trip, to another villain explaining why he was forever purging. It’s like show, don’t tell

- This movie was so formulaic. Good thing happens, then bad thing happens, then good thing happens then bad thing happens, then we gotta go to the place, then we got a find the people, then good thing happens, then bad thing happens then good thing happens, then bad thing happens

- The side characters seemed irrelevant if not for nothing more than to drive the plot. There’s an African-American side character, and two Native American side characters who might as well have not even been there

- One character literally uses the phrase “bad hombres“ when speaking about two Mexican American characters. I was like, oh my goodness, could you be more heavy-handed with this?

They should’ve stopped after the second one where Frank Grillo basically went all marvels the punisher on everybody

Dude.. spoilers..

I liked it. I thought it was the most realistic one and it wasn't over the top corny with outfits and costumes. It was straight up war by the end.

It was totally original. I would have never guessed half of the directions the story went. I thought they were crazy to drive into that town.

I really expected to be awful. So maybe I was just so shocked that I enjoyed it so much. It was just fun, senseless violence that just wouldn't stop. The social messaging stuff just don't matter to me. I can look past it. I get it, that it bothers some people. But that has always been in all of the movies..

I kept my post pretty vague. I don’t think I gave anything big away.

There was one thing that happened that I thought - well that doesn’t make much since why that particular entity would do that, but it really amps up the pressure and terror for these people trying to do the thing they want to do, so that’s neat.

It's cool. I don't think that many people will take notice.

Thinking back, It might not be better than Anarchy. That movie was so good up until that dumb ending. The stupid kids in the original drove me crazy. So that takes it down a peg. The last two were pretty bad. The first Purge had promise. But it tried to make me pull for a drug lord pimp.. no thanks..

Not sure which part you mean. But there are massive plot holes to be sure. I can't debate that..

Watching it confirmed my belief that it’s past time to purge this franchise.

So the united state is broken apart and at the end MExico carved out a peice of America for herself and the white people that is under the new mexico regime approves and is hopeful of it.

Seems legit.
