May be heading to New Orleans in the next couple days and would likely be seeing Star Wars there.

Don't know the area at all, need some recs on the best place to see a big popcorn flick.

Elmwood palace amc Dolby theatre. It’s like 18$ but we’ll worth it. Sound and picture are legit.

AMC theaters.

But make sure they have recliner (lazyboy-like) seats. It's a must-have & you won't go back to regular seats. They list those details on theater/ticket apps like Flixster or Fandango.

Not all of the rooms offer recliners, especially the main IMAX room. They try to cram as many people in there with smaller traditional seats. Use the apps/websites because, for example, AMC Palace 20 offers recliners for 10 out of 20 screens, whereas AMC Palace 16 offers them for 15 out of 16 screens.

I prefer Regal over AMC. If im paying $6 for a drink I don't want nasty arse Freestye drinks.

Regal in kenner is 100% assigned seats with recliners.

AMC Clearview has Dolby too. I didn't mind paying the high ticket price to watch this one.
