Posted by Tom288 I was just joking but I think Pacific Rim is a hell of a lot better movie.

Pac Rim had great action scenes but nothing else worthwhile. Edge of Tomorrow was great all around.

One of my favorites. Real chemistry between Shatner and Joan Collins.

Good movie, but it is the John Carter/Pacific Rim for this year. Good movie that just didn't get the box office numbers that one would hope for.

maybe not, but right now it has grossed twice as much as they spent, so it's not in horrible company.

The one thing I do wish they had done with this movie was follow the manga / novel a bit closer, that way we could have gotten a sequel since the sequel to "All you need is kill" is being written right now.

I enjoyed Pacific Rim more than Edge of Tomorrow, just because I felt like a kid watching it. But in my original comment I was saying that Pacific Rim is much better than John Carter.

As for it having great action scenes...it was giant robots fighting giant monsters. That's literally all it needed.

I really don't get the obsession with this movie. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was way better.

You're pretty much right, but just think if how incredible it could've been with competent acting, non-campy characters, and dialogue written by an adult instead of a comatose chimp.
