1. Why are B&N’s prices for movies so ridiculously expensive?

2. Who is buying movies from B&N at these prices to justify the cost?

I just paid $26.00 for the Longest Day at Barnes & Noble because my 90-year-old grandfather stated that what he wanted the day before his birthday.

I don't buy movies so I had no idea if that was out of normal pricing ranges. I would have paid 10 times that much for him.

The high prices were all Barnes' idea. The other guy was Noble.

You saying their business model is targeting people willing to pay any price for a gift for their 90 yr old grandfather?

That’s a very specific clientele

I'm fairly certain that is not what I said.

I think I last went inside a Barnes & Noble 5 years ago.

I’m not alone.

I would be shocked if they are still in business in 3 years.

Charging a premium for having such a big variety I guess. They have a better selection than the Best Buy stores in NYC at least. Amazon is cheaper unless you’re boycotting Bezos
