Aziz is back after taking some time off after all the stuff that happened last year.

I gotta say, this stand-up special may be the best he's ever done. Give it a watch if you are a fan of his stuff. It's definitely worth it. It has a fair share of serious moments but they felt genuine and right.

Spoilers below:

I like how he talked about the "sexual misconduct" elephant in the room at the beginning. I thought he handled it as good as anyone could. He didn't really apologize for it, just explained how he felt about it. And IMO he shouldn't apologize for it. From all accounts known, he did nothing wrong.

I also enjoyed him messing with the audience. The best was him making up the story about the pepperoni swastika on a pizza hut pizza and have people clap if they thought it was a swastika or not. Several people clapped before he revealed it's not a true story.

His "sexual misconduct" allegation is the dumbest and most bullshite of almost all of them.

He literally didn't do a damn thing wrong they just had a bad date, she slept with him anyway and regretted it.

Yeah it’s kind of funny watching the waves it’s gone through

There’s was huge outrage

Then there was a push back like “hey umm this isn’t what y’all are making it to be”

Then he went off the map and everyone was like yeah that was pretty dumb

Now that he’s back there’s still a small group trying to bring up the allegations and make him out to be a creep.

I think he was the straw that broke the #MeToo camels back in a way. That was the first big one that made people go “okay do we have to believe every girl with a tumblr blog or should we actually read what they say” and I think the Chris hardawick one was followed up shortly after. And now a lot of Louie CK defenders are more vocal in their support of him and his comeback

I felt that was more for Hardwick. For Aziz, you could believe everything in that article is true and still ask "...so what is the problem here?". With Hardwick, it was also sort of along those lines but went further with the person claiming he blackballed her, etc. The Aziz story was a few months before Hardwick and I think it helped Hardwick gain more support and ultimately come out on top of the whole thing.

The hardest I’ve laughed at his specials..

He absolutely ROASTS this outrage culture.. proving his point about the Pizza incident and showing how fricked up everything is

Saw him in DC two weeks ago do this bit. It was really good and the pizza part was great, he absolutely roasted this one guy who spoke up about it. And honestly the opening act may have been even funnier. It was the comedian who got kicked off the stage at Columbia University, Nimesh Patel.

Yep. Kinda derailing my own thread but who cares. It's interesting.

Can’t recommend Aziz’s new special enough. He had me rolling in the first 5 min.

I never knew how much I needed Aziz’s perspective on outrage culture in 2019. He takes shots at EVERYONE, and it’s great.

I think it’s clear the Me Too thing has made him more introspective and appreciative of his opportunities, and I think that’s only going to make his material/content even better moving forward.

When his special was announced I happened to be on Twitter and some jagoff tweeted that he was still "canceled" for what he did. Surprisingly a lot of people tore into that guy and a few even claimed that "cancel culture" was getting out of hand.

interesting. his voice really bothered me in this one. i dunno if that makes any sense.

i realize that people grow and change over time(both aziz and myself), but i like my aziz ansari doing RAAAAAAAANDY type of shite. im sure that he could not give less of a frick that i believe that, of course, but it's just how i felt during this special. i still liked it and still like aziz and appreciate the growth.

I guess I'm one of the few people who don't get him.

I tried 2 of his stand-ups and never made it past 10 minutes.

Different strokes, I guess.

I thought it was pretty good. Solid showing for a return. Louis CK's return is next.

She didn't even claim coercion. She was just mad because he treated her like a cheap hookup. The fact that she WAS a cheap hookup didn't occur to her.

The pepperoni thing was great along with all his stuff about SJW and racism. As was him with the kid in the front row.

Watched it this weekend, and it was phenomenal. A lot of his jokes land perfect, and he gets pretty deep at some parts.

Honestly the best part was that there was 1 mention of Trump in the whole show, and it wasn't even a direct mention. It is nearly impossible to find any new stand-up that doesn't have that as at least one major segment.

I thought it was his best one. But I'm a big fan of Aziz, been to a few of his live shows.

The bit about the Senator using that word had me laughing. Hahaha.

Very funny hour.

I appreciated his call take on the older shows and movies. It's something that at the time you didn't think twice about, but in today's culture wouldn't fly. Glad he pointed out Parks and Rec as an example instead of some other shows to help personalize it.

As always, his jokes about his Cousin Harris were great.
