Ive watched it. Its ok. but really unbelievable. They act like Dallas is 15 mins from Mexico. They go back in forth a few times a day. Very bad writing on that front.

The telenovela La Reina del Sur is awesomely bad like telenovelas tend to be. I think my wife was starting to get annoyed with me laughing at it so much but you can't help it. The unintentional comedy from the over/bad acting is off the charts.
As for the American version, I've only seen season 1 but it seemed like a solid Mexican drug cartel show as someone else mentioned.

Watching now .. Season 1, so far, pretty good
