Any of you see the VEEP series finale this past Sunday? (spoliers inside)

Damn, that was dark. Even for this show, which dealt in political expediencey and hypocrisy on a weekly basis, and routinely portrayed all people in politics as either vapid and soulless, or clueless morons, that was dark.

What she did to Gary was brutal. She was always a piece of shite and they really hammered that this season but that was another level of count.
Give me a Jonah and Richard spin off and I'll be happy though

A very Seinfeldian ending. Made sense and very well written, just wasn't that funny, when that show normally is.

I liked it and as far as series finales go, it was well done. Not the best, but it left me satisfied. I liked the time jump at the end.

Loved it, was a great way to end it.

I thought it was good. I lost it when that Furlong was pushing Will in the wheelchair at her funeral.
Such a good show, sad to see it end.

They really went all out on the corruption souless politician stuff this season. They really did some fricked up stuff, good way for it to end though.
Did anyone else notice the guy who walked into Dan at the funeral was Andrew (Selina’s ex husband) in a fake mustache?

He really was. The one liner about his uncle might sue because that was the name of his uncles podcast. Hahah

Elderly congressman Furlong: "you guys sitting here hiding in the back, jerking each other off, like what, Will?"
Will: nods out of his daze, "oh, uh, I like jizz"
Furlong: "ah, he aint what he used to be"

I just finished it and yes, what she did to Gary was the bitchiest move of the whole series but it made for a good episode. I liked that they killed her off at the end, too. Just wish they’d have said how she died.

I didn’t even realize this was the series end. I’ve been a devoted fan of the show since the beginning but haven’t really enjoyed this season for some reason.

I thought it was sad seeing her in the Oval Office with literally none of her staff or friends that helped get her there.... overall great episode.
Old Gary: “you’d hate the flowers”.

One of her accomplishments "Irreversible act on banning gay marriage" had me laughing considering her daughter (I liked that Catherine had Margaritas to celebrate the funeral). Also, I don't understand how and when Leon became Selina's director of communications

Yes and it was hilarious. This show killed for its entire run. The last episode was appropriately dark. All of the characters are vapid little frickheads. Except Richard, who is a vapid little angel.
Loved every second of it.

I think that was the point of that scene. It showed how lonely the presidency is and she deserved to have lost all her close friends after fricking them over all those years. She finally got the presidency but lost all her friends.
I think the final season exemplified the theory that you have to be corrupt in order to win the White House. She sold her soul to the Chinese to fix the election and then threw her closest aid under the bus by framing him and sending him to prison for a crime he didn't do.
I loved the series because it was hilarious but frick Selena Meyer the politician.
