Any Guy Ritchie fans here ? If so, what are your favorite films by him ?

My top three are RocknRolla, Snatch & Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.

Wish he would get back to doing that style of movie.

The Sherlock Holmes movies were pretty good... didn't really care for The Man From UNCLE.

In my opinion, those three movies are easily as good as Quentin Tarrantino's best work.

I thought this was one of his best.

Agree with your top 3.

The Arthur movie was a dumpster fire.

Wish he would do more down to earth/personal projects instead of cashing the big checks on franchises. His first 5-10 projects were home runs

Snatch is a top 5 movie of all time for me. I end up categorizing it with Lock/stock because it’s pretty much the same movie with different budgets

Man from UNCLE was awesome.

I never even saw that one. Man from Uncle wasn't a bad movie, I just like the style of the other three better.

The Bricktop character in Snatch was great !!

That same guy was also Sting's bouncer in LS&2SBs.

I agree with the OP's pick of Richie's best three movies. I would add that I liked his Sherlock Holmes movies.

He hasn't been the same since all the threesomes with Madonna. I think it messed with his mojo or something baby.

I didn’t mind the Arthur movie

Haven’t seen man from uncle in a while.

Snatch and Lock Stock are my favorite.

Doesn’t he have a new movie coming out soon?

Snatch is a top 5 all time for me.

Lock Stock, Rocknrolla and UNCLE are all grouped together behind Snatch. I'm really looking forward to "The Gentleman"

I honestly didn't even mind Arthur. It wasn't great but I was entertained.

***first time I saw Layer Cake I would've lost a bet thinking it was a Ritchie film. Do these types of movies belong to a specific genre other than "crime"?

Dude, same.

Layer Cake is so frickin' good. And holy smokes Sienna Miller.

That scene in the lingerie in the hotel room. Top 5 hottest chicks in film history in that moment.

Snatch and RocknRolla are so quotable/rewatchable too. Both have amazing casts.

Would love for The Rewatchables to do a pod on Snatch in particular.

"listen to me you fricking fringe, if I throw a dog a bone, I dont want to know if it tastes good or not! You stop me again whilst Im walking and Ill cut your fricking jacobs off!"

RocknRolla was probably my favorite movie at one point and I've seen it a dozen or so times. I really thought it was Toby Kebbells best role ever.

I've been a fan of his movies.
Obviously the original British low key films are golden but his takes on sherlock Holmes and man from U.N.C.L.E are lots of fun.

It's a very dialogue driven simple phrase humor mixed with absolutely fun action.

Does he mess up sometimes, sure. But overall his movies are fun.

Guy Ritchie wishes he had the nuanced touch and restraint to make Layer Cake

Snatch and Lock Stock are solid In spite of their over the top vibe

Rocknrolla pure garbage though

Can’t hold a candle to Quentin but guy is very solid and under appreciated. Uncle is one of my favs of the decade and it’s a shame he didn’t try and follow this up with a bit of his old flair
