What is a “romance shipper”?

Anthony Mackie said that in the nicest way possible. He obviously thinks it's absurd people are trying to turn it into that but he knows he can't say that without being labeled a homophobe.

That's how I took it. Sounds like he's annoyed people always speculate an LBGTQ relationship for situations that previously no one would have even thought about as other than a normal thing.

He’s pretty much saying that any authentic male friendship that doesn’t involve the two dudes being dicks to one another is automatically attributed to them wanting to frick each other.
