There’s so much going on in the movie. I feel like I started a thread recently about this movie and I don’t even care. It’s great.

Kevin Kline is the funniest part of a movie with John Cleese, and Michael Palin.

Opening scene of Otto reading Niche to him driving around London in a huge Lincoln on the right side of the road calling everyone assholes and screwing with Reggie and Ken his character really was the driver of this comedic tour de force.
Not to mention Ken, the animal lover, killing the old ladies dogs trying to take her out.

I remember the night I saw it in the theater when it came out.. It was a one and done date with a chick I later regretted not pursuing. It was funny then but tried to watch not long ago and like most older comedies, it didn't seem to hold up all that well. I think movies in the last decade or so like Django Unchained, Wolf of Wall Street, Burn After Reading, In Bruges, Money Ball, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Oh Brother where Art Thou, etc., have raised the bar for comedy to the point that many older "smart comedies" if there is such a thing, just don't hold up. I laughed until I hurt for "The Jerk" and "Bowfinger" when they came out, when I watched recently I wondered what it was I saw then. I think Kevin Kline in "Dave", just a few years after AFCW may hold up better now...maybe I can find it and see..
