Documentary on HBO, starts Wednesday. I am from Stevenson, AL about 20 miles from Scottsboro. The snake handlers always freaked us out. Can't wait to watch.

I watched it yesterday. Pretty good doc, loved the home video footage from the church and the pastor's house.
I have some Pentecostals in my distant family, man those people think they are spiritually closer to God, but in actuality they are more aligned with the devil. Some real closed minded/sheltered folks.

I was at a Cubs game in Chicago back in the day, and a Cub fan wearing a luchador mask was constantly yelling insults at Austin Kearns, The most memorable one was when he asked how Griffey’s Alabama black snake tasted.
