There are certain actors out there who everytime i see their name attached to it I immediately know I will watch that movie regardless of what it is. Some are great at recognizing a good film while others it seems just make whatever movie they are in fun, and there are those who are both. Some people who I put in the first category are actors such as Joaquin Phoenix and Daniel day Lewis. In the 2nd would be sam jackson, the rock, and Jason mamoa. Then those in both would be Christian bale, Ryan gosling. Although not all of these people are the same caliber of actors (the rock could study theater for 100 years and still not have the capability of ddl) they all are huge draws. Does anyone else have actors who they will go watch no matter what?

Tom Cruise might not rack up Oscars, but he produces consistently entertaining movies.

I'll watch anything Denzel Washington is in. He's got that something that during the performance I forget about his race and he just becomes an everyman.

I will watch anything with Tom Hardy. shite, he sat in a car talking on the bluetooth for a whole movie and it's one of my favorites.

First person I thought of this is Denzel. I just automatically think it’s gonna be a good movie when he’s in it (and it is).

The Book of Eli was motherloving awesome. When I rewatched it and it hit me that he's actually a book in the bible being written in real-time I was like...uuuh, that's awesome.

I read some time ago that he was approached for a Top Gun sequel back in the 80s. He didn't want to get pigeonholed so he turned it down. Glad to see he's done what he's wanted to go do in his career to circle back around and be able to make it.

I try to see everything Jeff Bridges is in. Great actor, that chooses good movies, and usually makes it fun. He's been making good movies since the early 70's.

I will say that Ben Foster has my vote right now. His acting skill level seems to elevate with each film I see him in. His latest “Leave No Trace” is a good example. I heard nothing of this movie and when I saw he was in it I immediately knew I had to see it. Was not disappointed in his performance.

Can’t say much for his decisions in the 90’s, but Josh Brolin has been on fire the last few years. Even if his last 2 were can’t miss comics movies, his performances were still great.
