I’ve been streaming it on peacock and forgot how good it is to watch a solid sitcom, something the 90s did well. Also ngl, 10-15 year old S had a thing for Dr. Albright

my parents and I used to watch during its run, you're right it was a solid little show.
And also young me had a crush but it wasn't on albright (kinda weird tbh) it was the main female lead the blonde lady. Even though she was rather masculine and not really meant to be sexy I think I recall her having a nice rack which was enjoyable for a young wg

This is pretty much exactly what I remember about this show as well

Kristen Johnston could get it. It's a shame that her thyroid issues totally derailed her health/figure. She was like a sexier Kathleen Turner.

Well written, well cast show. Love hearing Lithgow talk about the show and his approach. He basically said he went with a mix of a puppy and a small child when creating Dr. Soloman.
The bit with Lithgow and Shatner commenting on both seeing strange things on their individual plane flights still cracks me up.

The guys a hell of an actor. Playing a transvestite early in his career in the movie starring Robin Williams---"The World According To Garp", a hapless dad that hits a bigfoot in "Harry And The Hendersons", serial killer on "Dexter", goofy alien on "3rd Rock From The Sun" to lawyer/mentor in the new "Perry Mason" series.
He can handle comedy to dark drama with ease.

Nice Twilight Zone reference. Great show with impeccable cast. every single actor killed it. My favorite might have been the landlord. That show and News Radio are such under the radar hilarious series.

Apparently when the show was at its height of popularity, Kristen Johnson’s house was the Los Angeles hotspot to party at. I have a buddy who works in Los Angeles and he told me some producer on a movie that he was working on told him that he had never in his life gotten so messed up on booze and drugs then when he would go to parties at her house

Happy Endings is the last one I remember making sure we watched all of the time, and I think that is maybe getting close to 10 years ago

Comedy as a whole is on the decline, it's a fricking shame too.
My brother and I were talking about comedy movies, there used to be so many good ones and now it's a barren landscape.

On a related note, Jimi Hendrix made an instrumental called "Third Stone from the Sun". Then the pop/comedy band Right Said Fred stole the guitar melody/riff that appears 43 seconds into Hendrix's song and used it as their guitar solo that helped propel "I'm Too Sexy" into a global One Hit Wonder.

Was just coming to say this. Comedy movies have been MIA as well. I cannot name many past the Apatow era

Woke terrorists have destroyed humor as a whole and hijacked the concept of comedy.

Man this show is great. I'd love a new season to see where they are today.
Lithgow deserved an Emmy for every season. His range is damn near unparalleled to go from Dick to the trinity killer.
Currently on season 3
