Michelle Williams left the political stuff at home and gave a great speech.

The SAG Awards may be my favorite of the awards shows. It's just actors, so there are no boring categories to drag it down. No awkward writers or producers giving acceptance speeches. The audience is sober and the politics were almost non-existent this year.
Eugene and Dan Levy opened and closed the show. A shame that "host" is a bad word now. I'd have liked to see them do a couple of more bits.
They had a montage dedicated to heroes. 95% movie heroes and 5% actors doing heroic social work. What was nice was that it wasn't all Avengers and Indiana Jones. They had a ton of shots from the CW shows.
The oddest moment was Buscemi introducing a segment saying that we lost some friends this year, but we'll always have them showing on the screen. We assumed it was the dead actors reel. It was a montage of TV shows that had their last season.
Jennifer Aniston took a moment in her acceptance speech to shout out that unnominated Adam Sandler was awesome. Phoenix took the time to tell each co-nominee what he liked about them or, in Leo's case, how he grew up losing jobs to them. Plus his shoutout to Heath Ledger.
