Great episode IMO.
Aside from early dean, nothing was overdone and caricatured. I actually liked the dueling dance thing and couldn't believe the dean showed up to a sock hop dressed normal.
Also loved the Abed dates thing and how he found one he really liked. It was very meta the way they handled that plot, which is what the show used to be. I thought it worked great.
"Britta for the WHOOPS!" cracked me up. And when the dean said "According to dean law I must now give her my amulet. " I busted out lauging.
Fantastic episode, and I feel like the new creators are sort of finding their stride. Hope it continues.
