His shot is ugly as shite in flight. I have no faith in it being legit in the NBA. Hes a very interesting case imo. I generally put all my money on people who have generational talent in something. He has it in athleticism. But I have no faith in his ability to shoot and thats a major flaw. Still clear #1

There’s a reason he only has 33 attempts. He’s not a great jump shooter. And his 3-ball shot is slow as frick to get off. He won’t have much success at all with it with far larger and more athletic perimeter defenders than he’s seen in the college game. Not to mention 4s and 5s that can come out and defend that.

Let's not forget he is just 18. His game is still developing like all 18yo kids.

He's good enough off the dribble to where he only needs to be average from the outside.

That’s worked so far for Ben Simmons. But in his defense, Simmons is a guard in a centers body. Zion is a PF in a PF’s body. I think Zion has roof is the ceiling potential but I’d have to see a lot more off the dribble, creating his own shot skills to know for certain. He is fun to watch though. Curious how his game will translate.

UNC outplayed us first game and duke would have won on the road with Zion/. These two teams are so evenly matched and I can actually see Duke and Unc playing in April.

Ball was a stud at UCLA with an at best average jump shot. His lack of shooting ability is his main crutch. Could that happen to Zion? He isn’t as good off the dribble as Ball was in college.

Lonzos jump shot at UCLA was really good and legit. Just look at his college tape and what it was at the release point. I have no idea what's happened with the Lakers. I've read people think he started over-rotating his hips

Well that’s sort of my point. Zion has a sideways stance when shooting. It’s awkward. Again he has a lot of potential, but the league is so athletic he was to adapt.

He realized Alex Caruso is the superior product and it disheartened him.

That’s because he is not very good with the ball in his hands in regards to initiating offense crossing half court. He will need to get better at that. Even in his high school videos. He is usually off the ball.

But the numerous bigs in the NBA who are every bit as athletic as him means he will be a bust of a 1st overall pick

So prime LeBron, DeAndre, LJ and The Admrial?

Yeah he’s good. Just tired of the media ruining their pants over the kid.

Same situation with Lebron a couple of years ago.
