One theory (that won't go away) is that Herman and his wife engineered the Zach Smith scandal to frame Urban Meyer. And to push Meyer out so Herman could become OSU HC.
Fair amount of evidence that Smith never hit his wife (the wife's mom has stated this in 2 recorded interviews). And that the Herman's gave the wife substantial amounts of money while the takedown of Smith/Meyer was cooking.
The arrest was for Smith pulling into the ex-wifes driveway to drop off the kids - after she failed to show up at a neutral spot. She was waiting with a camera when he pulled in to show to the cops to claim violation of a restraining order - and there was no order - just a cop who told him he should stay off the property, from a year before.
