@BryanHoch
Shohei Ohtani’s representatives told the Yankees that they will not be among the teams invited to make an in-person presentation. Brian Cashman said the news was “disappointing.”

Not a surprise. The guy wants to hit. He's going to a National League team.

Sources: Shohei Ohtani continues to narrow the field for his meetings next week. The New York Yankees are out. The San Francisco Giants are one of the finalists. The Seattle Mariners also are in

Maybe he's got that Bud Selig disease where he thinks the Astros are a west coast team

Interesting the giants are in. Maybe he'll give the Dodgers a chance. Especially since we signed him back in 2012

Sounds like it. I can't see it being Padres or A's

Seattle and San Fran have large Asian communities I’m sure that helps their cases

I saw today where the Giants are one of two teams that have the frame work in place for a Stanton trade deal. Signing Ohtani may be enough to convince Stanton to get on board and not reject the trade

Also seems like he really doesn't want to play in a large market. All things pointing to Seattle

The Red Sox also are out on Ohtani. Dave Dombrowski said they were informed this afternoon.
