We were hoping to go but flights to Portland were $1300, they jacked up tickets to almost $200 a night just to get in the stadium and Airbnb prices in Eugene were outragous. That was the end of the that.
I wouldn't be surprised if the stands are empty. Eugene is way too small to host this event.

Just to lock this in before any events are underway, my prediction is the US gets 14 golds and 31 total medals.
It was over 1000+ for a plane ticket from LA to Portland? Damn
I think Eugene has the best facilities but it is certainly much less accessible for fans than Doha, Tokyo, London, or even Portland which hosted the 2016 indoor worlds.

I didn’t understand why they didn’t leave the old heyward alone and build the new stadium in Portland/Beaverton. I get Phil Knight wanted it so it happened it just didn’t make sense to me.

Who do you think the 4th person we use in the W 4x400 is (assuming Muhammad is healthy)?
Posted on 7/15/22 at 1:32 pm to Dawgsontop34
Talitha Diggs
Athing Mu
Sydney McLaughlin
Dalilah Muhammed
Abby Steiner should be in the relay pool as well, right? Kendall Ellis in the prelims

The team you posted should be good enough to get the job done. I imagine they let Abby just focus more on her individuals.

The mixed relay team just posted a world leading time in the qualifying run.

Made it look relatively easy as well. Nobody looked overly gassed
Kinda weird they’re doing the finals tonight

Primetime coverage just started on USA

All 3 USA women (Johnson, Purrier, McGee) make the 1500 semis

Very good qualifying day for the US so far.
3/3 in mHT, wHT, wSP, w1500
2/3 in mHJ, m3000S
Should be at least 4/4 in m100, 2/3 in wPV, 3/4 in mSP, and Gold in x4x400.
mLJ is likely the only event without multiple people in advancing, possibly 0. Very weak event in the US and in general this year

US 4x4 and 400 history is just disgusting
Wow the DR just ran the women down. Then the elephant jumped on
There’s the US Coaches outthinking themselves again

Bolden sounds like he is making excuses but he’s really right. The US threw out the JV team and still finished 3rd

You have Steiner, Sydney, Britton Wilson, Mu, etc. Wow... Team USA continues to act moronic in most relays.
But Hey, Allison Felix got on TV....

Did I read it right that DeGrasse wasn’t the fastest Canadian in the 100?

Ended up 4/4 in mSP, 3/3 in wPV, 4/4 in m100, 2/3 in mLJ, and bronze in x4x400
So on the day, 28/30 advancing in prelim rounds. That’s incredibly impressive. Outside of 4/4 in m100 all of those are somewhat surprising.
Bronze in the relay is because of nothing but pure arrogance from the US. Felix being guaranteed a spot and an inexperienced collegiate athlete on anchor that has never won anything of significance.

Please someone bring back the Kersey Hart Drummond philosophy to setting relays. Whoever is doing it now needs fired yesterday
