Word that the Titans may be forced to forfeit since they broke Covid protocols

There are pictures of them practicing together against NFL rules when they were supposed to be separated and quarantining.
I think they will be made an example of. Forfeited game, huge fine. If its found that the players did it with the coaches knowledge or collusion, we could be looking at loss of draft picks or coach suspension.
Goodell is not going to frick around with this.

Problem is a forfeit punishes 15 teams for the actions of 1 of those teams. Doesn’t make a whole lotta sense

Possible bc the NFL is trying to hide the fact they royally fricked up the schedule by now adding additional bye weeks. Putting the blame on the Titans instead of on poor scheduling would be an NFL move

What's the alternative?
Pushing back the playoffs a week, giving everyone else a Bye but the Titans and Bills? That's the only alternative unless you just "cancel" the game and both teams only play 15.

Plenty of ways to lay the hammer without messing with the competitive balance of the league
Most divisions and home field advantages are decided by a game or fewer, you can’t just gift a win to a team.
