re: Woj: Doc Rivers accepts 76ers HC job.
Can’t blame him for losing one v harden when he was reliant on CP to get him the win.

Once you get a HC job in the nba and even have remotely moderate success you are set. Alvin Gentry has somehow gotten like 5 jobs and the dude is trash.

Same with NFL, but in the asst/coach ranks. You can fail, fail, and fail, and the next position job that opens up, your one of top candidates.

Yeah but it's funny that guys who just straight lose their only series are considered better(Atkinson).

HC in Pro sports are never out of a job.

It's the merry-go-round of the same guys over and over and over.

Talk about an old boys network.

I just don't get it. I mean Doc is an ok coach but he just led the most talented team in the NBA to a round 2 loss. and it wasn't even to LeBron. What does Philly think he's going to do with their less talented, more poorly constructed team?

He's in the East now. He can likely get them to the Eastern Conference Finals at least once.

Why would he take the Sixers job? Ben Simmons gonna magically start shooting 3s better?

Simmons isn’t really the thing I would stress about in that roster

that would be more fitting question if they hired D'antoni

re: Woj: Doc Rivers accepts 76ers HC job.
Doc was great with Tom Thibodeau running the practices, the scouting, the game plans and the defense

Without TomT he is mediocre
