Will Wade potentially on Dawkkns wiretap

LSU coach Will Wade was reportedly caught on a wiretap obtained by the FBI in 2017 discussing a "hell of an offer" to a prospective recruit with Christian Dawkins, a former aspiring sports agent who this week was sentenced to six months in federal prison for his involvement in the college basketball corruption scandal.
"Dude," Wade continued to Dawkins, referring to the third party involved in the recruitment. "I went to him with a [expletive] strong-arse offer about a month ago. [Expletive] strong.
"The problem was, I know why he didn't take it now, it was [expletive] tilted toward the family a little bit," Wade continued. "It was tilted toward taking care of the mom, taking care of the kid. Like it was tilted towards that. Now I know for a fact he didn't explain everything to the mom. I know now, he didn't get enough of the piece of the pie in the deal."

FWIW, this isn't to take a shot at LSU. At Arizona, we obviously have our own issues. This appears to be Dawkins's team leaking stuff before he stands a second trial.

To be fair, it is a Dawkins wire tap that happen to catch phone calls with Will Wade.
That is an important difference. So maybe change the title.

LSU isn't a blue blood in basketball, so they screwed.

I have seen LSU fans say this proves nothing, and I guess no there isn't a money trail as of yet. However, Saying it's a good offer would mean an offer was made that likely is outside the scope of a scholarship.
Maybe nothing comes of this but it's not good. No one will say it's great news

Agreed. LSU basketball is expendable. It's a recognizable name, enough for the NCAA to make headlines for punishing a major program and pretend they've got some teeth. But it's not a blueblood program like UNC.
He's on tape talking about making offers to recruits and focusing on taking care of the mom.
